Last week, there was a short meeting of IARU Region 1 EmComm Co-ordinators during HamRadio Fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

Ten representatives countries met up with visitors, and they heard about the EmComm situation in their countries.

Alberto Barbera, IK1YLO, EmComm Co-ordinator of Italy, commented: “Really Friedrichshafen Messes is a good meeting point and can be used also in the future for short meeting (EmComm)”.

Michael Becker, DJ9OZ, EmComm Co-ordinator of DARC, commented: “This first meeting of international EmComm co-ordinators at HamRadio was very interesting and should be continued the coming years”.

Also Michael commented: “This informal meeting has not in mind to substitute the GAREC Conference, rather than to be a platform for those visiting HamRadio to get to Knows others, specially those who will not be able to join GAREC”.
