Jeff Austin 9Y4J, Emergency Coordinator of Area E, reported on Sunday 21, at 12:35 that “the Caribbean Emergency Net and Weather, was activated, at 23:45 UTC on August 20th, on 3,815 KHz, with the option of using 7,165 KHz as required, with the arrival of Tropical Storm Irene which was expected to affect the Northern Windward Islands and Leeward Islands of the Caribbean.

During the night the storm was expected to affect Dominica, Guadalupe and the other islands north of Guadeloupe”.

Also Jeff does not report damage or loss of life, and that the Net will remain active during the day.
