{"id":2579,"date":"2010-10-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-10T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.iaru-r2.org\/the-iaru-region-2-general-assembly-is-over\/"},"modified":"2010-10-11T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-10-10T22:00:00","slug":"the-iaru-region-2-general-assembly-is-over","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/en\/the-iaru-region-2-general-assembly-is-over\/","title":{"rendered":"The <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Region 2&nbsp;General Assembly is&nbsp;over"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asamblea-General.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-999\" title=\"General Assembly IARU Region 2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asamblea-General-150x89.jpg\" alt=\"General Assembly IARU Region 2\" width=\"150\" height=\"89\"><\/a>After one week of intense work by the delegates representing Member Societies of the continent, the <span class=\"caps\">XVII<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Region 2&nbsp;General Assembly came to an&nbsp;end.<\/p>\n<p>The proceedings of the third plenary, which contain the resolutions approved in the meeting, are available in the <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Region 2&nbsp;web page in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/documents\/\">Documents section<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference chose the city of Monterrey, Mexico, to host the <span class=\"caps\">XVIII<\/span> General Assembly in 2013 and thanked Federaci\u00f3n Mexicana de Radio Experimentadores for their proposal.<\/p>\n<p>The last task of the delegates was the election of the officers and other members of the Executive Committee for the next three years. The Committee will be integrated as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President: Reinaldo Leandro, <span class=\"caps\">YV5AMH<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Vicepresident: Jos\u00e9 Arturo Molina, <span class=\"caps\">YS1MS<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Secretary: Ram\u00f3n Santoyo, <span class=\"caps\">XE1KK<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Treasurer: Noel E. Donawa, <span class=\"caps\">9Y4NED<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Director Area A: Daniel A. Lamoureux, <span class=\"caps\">VE2KA<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Director Area B: Jay Bellows, <span class=\"caps\">K0QB<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Director Area C: Ram\u00f3n Santoyo, <span class=\"caps\">XE1KK<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Director Area D: Marco Tulio Gudiel, <span class=\"caps\">TG9AGD<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Director Area E: Noel E.
