<\/a>On April 18, 2012 we will celebrate the World Amateur Radio Day on the 87th<\/sup> Anniversary of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union, IARU<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This year\u00b4s theme for the World Amateur Radio Day is \u0093Amateur Radio Satellites: Celebrating 50 Years in Space\u0094 in remembrance the launching of OSCAR<\/span> 1 on December 12, 1961 and the launch of OSCAR<\/span> 2 on June 2, 1962.<\/p>\n

For this reason there will be several special event stations from IARU<\/span>\u0092s Member Societies active on different dates during April:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

6H6IARU<\/span><\/strong> by the Federaci\u00f3n Mexicana de Radio Experimentadores who has commissioned this operation to Grupo DXXE<\/span>. This station will be active from 13 to 18 April in all modes and bands. QSL<\/span> via LoTW and N7RO<\/span>, direct or bureau. Daily logs uploads will be available in ClubLog.<\/p>\n

3G87IARU<\/span> <\/strong>by the Radio Club de Chile. This station will be active throughout the month of April. QSL<\/span> via CE3AA<\/span>.<\/p>\n

LZ1WARD<\/span><\/strong> by the Bulgarian Federation of Radio Amateurs also will be active throughout the month of April. QSL<\/span> via bureau.<\/p>\n

EL2RL<\/span><\/strong> by the Liberia Radio Amateur Association will be active on April 18, 2011 on 10, 15, 17 and 20 meters. Direct QSL<\/span> to EL2BA<\/span>.<\/p>\n

HB9WARD<\/span><\/strong> by Union Schweizerischer Kurzwellen-Amateure to be active also on April 18, 2011. This first time callsign will be on the air by HB9JOE<\/span> and a group of radio amateurs from Bern. QSL<\/span> via HB9JOE<\/span>.<\/p>\n

HF87WARD<\/span><\/strong> by members of the SP-CFF<\/span> (SP0CFF<\/span>). This station will be active from April, 17 to 30. QSL<\/span> via eQSL\u200b.cc and WFF<\/span> LogSerach. For those who want to send card direct, please send SASE<\/span> to: Polish Club Flora &<\/span> Fauna, Suchacz, Wielmozy 5b, 82\u2009\u2013\u2009340 Tolkmicko, Poland. They will even have an award for this operation.<\/p>\n

CR6IARU<\/span><\/strong> by the Rede dos Emissores Portugueses, REP<\/span>. They will be active from April 13 to 19. QSL<\/span> via bureau to CT1REP<\/span>.<\/p>\n

KP4FD<\/span><\/strong> by the Puerto Rico Field Day Group. To be active on April 18. QSL<\/span> via QRZ\u200b<\/span>.com Coordinator: Angel Santana, WP3GW<\/span>.<\/p>\n
