\"Logo-IARU\"<\/a>On April 18, 2013 we\u0092ll celebrate the World Amateur Radio Day on the 88th<\/sup> Anniversary of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union, IARU<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This theme for this year World Amateur Radio Day is \u0093Amateur Radio: Entering Its Second Century of Disaster Communications\u0094<\/p>\n

Several Member Societies, and clubs related to them, will have special event stations on the air.<\/p>\n

Mexico \u0096 FMRE<\/span>, with the help of Grupo DXXE<\/span>, will activate a unique prefix for the first time: 4A8DMR<\/span> (DMR<\/span> = D\u00eda Mundial del Radioaficionado). This station will be active from April 18 to 21, 2013 on all bands from 6 meters to 160 in all modes including EME<\/span> and amateur radio satellites from different Grid Locators throughout Mexico. QSL<\/span> via N7RO<\/span> and LoTW. Log will be available also on ClubLog.<\/p>\n

Puerto Rico \u0096 To echo the theme for this year the ARRL<\/span>\u0092s Puerto Rico Field Day Group will be active on April 18 from the Emergency Management Agency of the city of Cata\u00f1o, Puerto Rico. QSL<\/span> via QRZ\u200b<\/span>.com as well as LoTW.<\/p>\n
