<\/a>The composition of the IARU<\/span> Region 2 Band Planning Committee has been finalized. Members of the Committee include:<\/p>\n

Area A: Alphonse Penney, VO1NO<\/span>, Committee Chairman
Area B: Bill Vartorella, Ph.D., KJ4ORX<\/span>
Area C: Alfonso Tamez, XE2O<\/span>
Area D: Juan Carlos Mu\u00f1oz, TG9AJR<\/span>
Area E: Oscar Reyes, HK6O<\/span>\/VK3ZZX<\/span>
Area F: Atilano de Oms, PY5EG<\/span>
Area G: Carlos Rodr\u00edguez, CX7CO<\/span><\/p>\n

In accordance with the Committee\u0092s terms of reference, it will deal with all matters relating to Amateur spectrum allocations such as band planning and general operating standards and practices, and will provide advice to the Region 2 Executive Committee. One of the most important tasks of the Committee will be to Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC<\/span>) with the Region 1 and 3 Band Planning Committees. This will enable the IARU<\/span> to create a global approach to band planning.<\/p>\n
