{"id":2940,"date":"2020-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.iaru-r2.org\/recognition-of-citel-for-the-work-done-in-wrc-19\/"},"modified":"2020-01-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-20T23:00:00","slug":"recognition-of-citel-for-the-work-done-in-wrc-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/en\/recognition-of-citel-for-the-work-done-in-wrc-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Recognition of <span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span> for the work done in <span class=\"caps\">WRC-19<\/span>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/WRC-2019-logo_479x162.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5188\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/WRC-2019-logo_479x162-150x51.png\" alt width=\"150\" height=\"51\"><\/a>The Organization of the American States (<span class=\"caps\">OAS<\/span>), through his Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (<span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span>), recognized in the end of 2019 the work done by the collaborators of <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> involving in the last World Radiocommunication Conference (<span class=\"caps\">WRC-19<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Oscar Le\u00f3n, Executive Secretary of <span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span>, expressed that: \u0093On the behalf of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (<span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span>) and my own, I&nbsp;wish to express our gratitude for the support provided during the preparation and conduct of the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 ( ) I&nbsp;would like to make a&nbsp;special recognition for your valuable effort and active participation to ensure that the Inter-American Proposals have been reflected in the results of the Conference ( ) This contributes positively to the development of the telecommunications in the Americas region\u0094.<\/p>\n<p>Every 4&nbsp;years the International Telecommunication Union (<span class=\"caps\">ITU<\/span>), one of the special agencies of the United Nations, develops the World Radiocommunication Conference (<span class=\"caps\">WRC<\/span>) with main objective to revise parts of the radiofrequency allocations related in the Radio Regulations of <span class=\"caps\">ITU<\/span>. This international plan is a&nbsp;reference for every national frequency plan, distributing the spectrum between the different radiocommunications services.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span>, as Regional Telecommunication Organization (<span class=\"caps\">RTO<\/span>), developprevious studies and proposals to harmonize differentviews came from the state-members and telecommunications sectors covering agenda items related to the WRCs. These jointed proposals are therefore defended in difficult negotiations happened in the conferences.
