{"id":4793,"date":"2020-06-24T03:04:25","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T01:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/?p=4793"},"modified":"2020-06-24T03:04:25","modified_gmt":"2020-06-24T01:04:25","slug":"lcra-first-winlink-workshop-for-multipliers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/en\/lcra-first-winlink-workshop-for-multipliers\/","title":{"rendered":"<span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span> First Winlink Workshop for Multipliers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Colombian League of Radio Amateurs (<span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span>) recently presented their \u201cFirst Winlink Workshop (<span class=\"caps\">WL2K<\/span>) for Multipliers\u201d.&nbsp;This first of four workshops used \u201clearning by doing\u201d to train radio amateurs in Winlink.&nbsp;The intent is to \u201ctrain the trainer\u201d so that they can then train other radio amateurs in their respective local and regional <span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span> associations.<\/p>\n<p>Workshop topics were oriented to the use of the Winlink Express client program through the internet to send and receive email messages, including configuration and management of <span class=\"caps\">PACKET<\/span> mode on <span class=\"caps\">VHF<\/span>, and <span class=\"caps\">WINMOR<\/span> and <span class=\"caps\">VARA<\/span> modes oin <span class=\"caps\">HF<\/span>.&nbsp;Also covered was the use the <span class=\"caps\">WL2K<\/span> Express radiogram format.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the workshop, <span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span> installed two <span class=\"caps\">WL2K<\/span> Radio Mail Servers, which are currently in operation.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span> intends that those attending this workshops will soon be holding their own workshops on Winlink in their respective locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Colombian League of Radio Amateurs (<span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span>) recently presented their \u201cFirst Winlink Workshop (<span class=\"caps\">WL2K<\/span>) for Multipliers\u201d.&nbsp;This first of four workshops used \u201clearning by doing\u201d to train radio amateurs in Winlink.&nbsp;The intent is to \u201ctrain the trainer\u201d so that they can then train other radio amateurs in their respective local and regional <span class=\"caps\">LCRA<\/span> associations.
