{"id":5804,"date":"2023-03-02T21:13:31","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T20:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/?p=5804"},"modified":"2023-03-02T21:32:30","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T20:32:30","slug":"iaru-region-2-executive-committee-meeting-february-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iaru-r2.org\/en\/iaru-region-2-executive-committee-meeting-february-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"<span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Region 2&nbsp;Executive Committee meeting, February 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Region 2&nbsp;Executive Committee met in mid-February, 2023.&nbsp;The meeting included the new Officers and Directors that were elected during the 2022 General Assembly in November, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Committee took the following actions and heard reports on the following matters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adopted revised Terms of Reference for the <span class=\"caps\">R2<\/span> Youth Liaison Team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointed Region 2&nbsp;Vice President Gustavo de Faria <span class=\"caps\">PT2ADM<\/span> as Treasurer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointed John Sager <span class=\"caps\">WJ7S<\/span> to serve as Assistant to the Treasurer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An update on <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> matters was presented by <span class=\"caps\">IARU<\/span> Secretary Joel Harrison <span class=\"caps\">W5ZN<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Region 2&nbsp;Director Dino Besomi <span class=\"caps\">CE3PG<\/span> gave an update on efforts to establish an effective WinLink system within Chile for emergency communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Received an interim report from the Special Committee on Communications about various ways to improve communications among the <span class=\"caps\">R2<\/span> Member Societies and with the <span class=\"caps\">R2<\/span> Executive Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Committee appointed the following Region 2&nbsp;Coordinators to serve until the next General Assembly in&nbsp;2025:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span class=\"caps\">CITEL<\/span> Coordinator: Fl\u00e1vio Archangelo, <span class=\"caps\">PY2ZX<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"caps\">CTU<\/span> Coordinator: Tommy Chen,&nbsp;<span class=\"caps\">9Y4T<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring System Coordinator: Jose Cornieles, <span class=\"caps\">VY5COR<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"caps\">ARDF<\/span> Coordinator: Ken Harker, <span class=\"caps\">WM5M<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"caps\">EMC<\/span> Coordinator: Ed Hare,&nbsp;<span class=\"caps\">W1RFI<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Band Planning Comm.
