IARU<\/span> participated in the latest 45 Meeting of the PCC<\/span>.II<\/span>, Permanent Consultative Committee on Radiocommunications of CITEL<\/span>, Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (part of the OAS<\/span>, Organization of American States) happened in June 2025, in the city of M\u00e9rida, M\u00e9xico. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IARU<\/span> contributed at this meeting producing the Report of Amateur and Amateur Satellite Services, also released in the last meeting of the UIT<\/span>\u2011R WP<\/span> 5A<\/span> (Terrestrial Services) during the first half of 2025. The presentation of the document was made by the Coordinator of IARU<\/span> for CITEL<\/span>, Fl\u00e1vio Archangelo (PY2ZX<\/span>). The debates took place in two CITEL<\/span> sub-working groups: one for Terrestrial Services, another focused on Satellite Systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to facilitate the future dissemination of information from similar documents that have been discussed and approved at the UIT<\/span>\u2011R working groups to the administrations at CITEL<\/span>, the Commission unanimously appointed Fl\u00e1vio, through the Decision PCC<\/span>.II<\/span>\/DEC<\/span>. 241 (XLV-25<\/span>), as Rapporteur of the Amateur and Amateur Satellite Service (the same position that already occupies in UIT<\/span>\u2011R). Representatives of Brazil, the United States, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Nicaragua participated on these discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This CITEL<\/span> meeting was joined by Jos\u00e9 Tijoux CE3BCO<\/span>, Jon Siverling WB3ERA<\/span> and Serge Bertuzzo VA3SB<\/span>.
