This Assembly may also be referred as “Salvador2025”. The Liga de Amadores Brasileiros de Radio Emissao (LABRE) will be the host society for the assembly. The assembly will be held at the Hotel Vila Galé Mares Guarajuba, localizado na Rua da Alegria, s/n – Guarajuba, Camaçari – BA, Brazil. The General Assembly Opening Plenary session will begin at 0900 on Monday, October 6, 2025 and the GA will conclude on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 1300 hours.

Registration for the General Assembly can be found on the following web site: https://iaru.labre.net.br/.

Upon registration for the General Assembly, all those registering will receive an email with instructions detailing the hotel registration process. After registering for the General Assembly, attendees should then make hotel reservations at the Vila Galé Guarajuba Hotel using the special discount code that will be provided in the email.

International travelers from certain countries will need a visa to enter Brazil. For example, as of the date of this notice, travelers from the United States, Canada and Australia will have to obtain a visa to enter Brazil. Citizens from most of the other South and Central American counties will not need a visa to enter Brazil. All international travelers should verify any visa requirement needed to enter Brazil.

The Region 2 Secretary will evaluate any written contributions submitted to the General Assembly and will allocate to an appropriate committee the documents corresponding to each one. The President and Secretary of any committee that is constituted during the Assembly will have the responsibility to issue its final committee report by 0900 on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 to be presented for discussion and approval during the Third and Final Plenary session on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Proposals approved by the Third Plenary Assembly will become the Conference Decisions and Recommendations. Decisions are taken by absolute majority of the member societies present including proxies. However, Region 2 Bylaw changes require two-thirds majority and changes to the Constitution requires a three-quarters majority.

Each Principal Delegate will carry the vote of his/her Society and may hold the representation by proxy of one absent Society, subject to prior approval by the Credentials Committee of the corresponding authorization letter. A proxy form is available from the Region 2 Secretary at secretary@iaru-r2.org.

The General Assembly will also elect the officers and directors to serve on the Region 2 Executive Committee for the period after the Assembly and until the next General Assembly in 2028. The host society for the 2028 Region 2 General Assembly will also be selected during “Salvador2025.”

The Region 2 Executive Committee and LABRE, as the host society, invites all Region 2 Member Societies to constitute a delegation to attend the General Assembly. The Region 2 Executive Committee and the host society anticipate a successful and enjoyable General Assembly.
