PRESS RELEASE No. 1
The 20th General Assembly of IARU Region 2 was inaugurated on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Hotel Estelar Miraflores in Lima, Peru.
This General Assembly analyzes and studies the different proposals of issues of interest to amateur radio, band plans and adequate use of the spectrum, promotion of our hobby and other administrative issues, since the amateur radio societies of every country report about their respective progress. Besides, an Emergency Communications Workshop will be held immediately after the Assembly, designed specifically to provide valuable information and training to radio amateurs that are active in that field.
Participating in the General Assembly of Lima are representatives of our Member Societies, as well as representatives of other IARU regions and of the International Secretariat.
