IARU participated in the latest 45 Meeting of the PCC.II, Permanent Consultative Committee on Radiocommunications of CITEL, Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (part of the OAS, Organization of American States) happened in June 2025, in the city of Mérida, México.
IARU contributed at this meeting producing the Report of Amateur and Amateur Satellite Services, also released in the last meeting of the UIT‑R WP 5A (Terrestrial Services) during the first half of 2025. The presentation of the document was made by the Coordinator of IARU for CITEL, Flávio Archangelo (PY2ZX). The debates took place in two CITEL sub-working groups: one for Terrestrial Services, another focused on Satellite Systems.

In order to facilitate the future dissemination of information from similar documents that have been discussed and approved at the UIT‑R working groups to the administrations at CITEL, the Commission unanimously appointed Flávio, through the Decision PCC.II/DEC. 241 (XLV-25), as Rapporteur of the Amateur and Amateur Satellite Service (the same position that already occupies in UIT‑R). Representatives of Brazil, the United States, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Nicaragua participated on these discussions.
This CITEL meeting was joined by José Tijoux CE3BCO, Jon Siverling WB3ERA and Serge Bertuzzo VA3SB. As usual, the meeting also discussed several WRC-27 agenda items which are in their initial phase of preliminary views.
