Bill Hayes WJ5O, IARU Region 2 HF Beacon Coordinator, is stepping down on January 19, exactly 10 years after he took the position.
IARU R2 President Reinaldo Leandro YV5AM commented, During this period Bill has advice the IARU R2 Executive Committee and provided detailed reports on the status of HF beacons in the continent. The position couldnt have been in better hands.
The Executive Committee wishes Bill a happy retirement for this responsibility and thank him deeply for 10 years of voluntary work for Amateur Radio.
The IARU R2 EC has appointed Denny Stice WI5V as the next HF Beacon Coordinator for R2.
