The IARU Region 2 Executive Committee is making a donation to the American Radio Relay Leagues Ham Aid Fund to support the Leagues relief efforts in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
ARRL is assisting the American Red Cross providing emergency communications since most of the islands infrastructure was devastated. They are also coordinating the deployment of up to 50 radio amateurs to support the ARC.
The EC of IARU R2 is also donating the cost of two emergency communications kits for the ARRL to keep and use in this and in future events.
IARU R2 invites member societies, radio clubs and individual radio amateurs to consider supporting ARRLs Ham Aid Fund.
