Radio Club D’Haïti will activate the special callsign 4V1TL from 1 January until 30 April 2016 in memory of the Father of their Country, General Toussaint Louverture, who was arrested and sent to France and jailed at Fort de Joux (25) where he died on 7 April 1803, a few months before Haitis Independence on 1 January 1804.
