This bulletin summarizes the key Member Society activities to prepare for the General Assembly, held virtually October 31 through November 4 in five sessions, each starting at 2300 UTC.
A Report on the Member Society Activities undertaken in the past three years (submit by: Oct 1)
Include topics such as: number of amateurs in the country, recruiting especially of youth, regulatory items, projects and initiatives, lessons learned…
If desired, this report can be in the form of a short (5 min) video or may be written. Delegates will be asked to select their favourite video in the closing plenary.
Selection of a Head of Delegation and Delegates (submit by: Oct 1, must be prior to Oct 31)
Member Society must be in good standing: dues must be current (paid through 2020)
Those selected should be confirmed by the Society’s IARU Liaison person
The Credentials Committee will meet to review these on Tuesday, Nov 1.
Candidate Nominations for R2 Area Director or Officer (submit by: Oct 1, must be prior to Oct 31)
Candidate must be a Member of their national Member Society which is in good standing
Candidate amateur activities resume and letter affirming ability and willingness to serve
Candidates should prepare a brief video (2 min) to introduce themselves to the Delegates
Proposal to host 2025 General Assembly (submit by: Oct 1)
Proposal to include description of society’s ability to manage an in-person event with remote participation as a written document or as part of the video
Proposal to include a short video describing the host city/region and delegate experience to aid consideration of the proposal by Delegates
Proposals for general consideration (submit by: Oct 1)
Both Societies and R2 Committees may propose changes to the Constitution, Bylaws, or policies of R2.
