On January 30, 2020, Consul General Robert Neus and Vice Consul Ryan Mahoney met with Ernesto Syriani, a Buenos Aires independent Amateur Radio Service operator through the Radio Club Argentino, to send a test message to one of the Embassy’s citizen liaison volunteers in Cordoba. The test added a new tool to the Embassy’s crisis preparedness toolkit, introducing the possibility of transmitting a message to volunteers across Argentina in the event of a crisis.
