IARU Region 2 Hosts Amateur Radio Courses as Part of CTU’s 30th Anniversary

On May 2nd IARU R2 will host an Amateur Radio Administration Course, ARAC. The ARAC is designed to familiarize senior administrators responsible for regulating the Amateur Radio and Amateur Satellite Services within their respective countries with what the Amateur Radio service is and what it can contribute to their overall telecommunications capabilities. This course is free of charge to CTU’s countries regulators with the objective of helping to create, administer and foster a stronger Amateur Radio Service in their respective countries. .

On May 3th IARU R2 will host an Emergency Communication Workshop in conjunction with the International Telecommunications Union, ITU, and the American Radio Relay League, ARRL. The ECW is intended to be a gathering of CTU’s countries Emergency Coordinators and other representatives of national level Amateur Radio emergency communications in the region. This workshop is also free of charge to CTU’s countries Emergency Coordinators and Radio Amateurs with expertise in providing disaster and emergency communications.

Member societies of CTU countries are encouraged to provide the names of regulators within their countries that should be invited to the ARAC.
