On April 21 we celebrated the “World Amateur Radio Day” at the Radio Club Peruano, which conducted a series of presentations on “The Participation of amateur radio in emergency communications.” The event was attended by authorities, public and amateur radio. In the central plateau accompanied us the representative of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Dr. Manuel Cipriano, Director of Communications Authorizations — MTC, and Cap. Navio Aristides Mussio, Regional Director of the Institute of Civil Defense-Central Coast region.

We also performed a demonstration of digital modes like PSK31 and Echolink very useful in emergencies.

Today Sunday at the Metropolitan section of the newspaper “El Comercio” (the main newspaper of Peru) a note was published on the amateur radio and the celebration of World Day for Amateur Radio.
