Noel Donawa  9Y4NED, Area  E director IARU-R2  met on November 10, 2008 in the City of Port of Spain Trinidad & Tobago with Mrs. Nicole Williams and Mr. Rishi  Siew officers of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Caribbean Region.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss procedures necessary in order to implement the MOU signed by IARU and IFRC in Friederichshafen,  Germany 27th June, 2008 and to strengthen emergency communications of the Caribbean member Societies of the IFRC and IARU in providing disaster assistance.
