CMR-12: La Conferencia Mundial de Radiocomunicaciones 2012 comienza en Suiza, Considera una asignación secundaria para radioaficionados.
La Conferencia Mundial de Radiocomunicaciones (CMR-12) se inauguró en Ginebra, Suiza, el lunes 23 de enero. Los asistentes podrán revisar y modificar el Reglamento de Radiocomunicaciones, el tratado internacional que regula el uso del espectro radioeléctrico y órbitas satelitales. Uno de los puntos que se examinarán en la CMR-12 es el tema 1.23: que considera la posibilidad de una asignación de 15 kHz aproximadamente en partes de la banda de 415 – 526.5 kHz al servicio de aficionados a título secundario, teniendo en cuenta la necesidad de proteger existentes los servicios.
Más de 3000 participantes – que representan más de 150 de los 193 estados miembros de la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones – se espera que asistan a la conferencia de cuatro semanas. Cerca de 100 observadores de los 700 miembros de la UIT, el sector privado – junto con las organizaciones internacionales, incluida la Unión Internacional de Radioaficionados – también están asistiendo. Algunos de delegados de la CMR-12 son radioaficionados.

WRC-12: World Radiocommunication Conference 2012 Begins in Switzerland, Considers Secondary MF Amateur Allocation
The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-12) opened in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday, January 23. Attendees will review and revise the Radio Regulations, the international treaty governing the use of radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits. One of the items to be considered at WRC-12 is Agenda Item 1.23: To consider an allocation of about 15 kHz in parts of the band 415-526.5 kHz to the Amateur Service on a secondary basis, taking into account the need to protect existing services.
More than 3000 participants — representing more than 150 out of the International Telecommunication Union’s 193 Member States — are expected to attend the four-week conference. About 100 Observers from among the ITU’s 700 private sector members — along with international organizations, including the International Amateur Radio Union — are also in attendance. A number of WRC-12 delegates are radio amateurs.
